HOME Washington County Emergency Management ROSTER BULLETIN BOARD GALLERY EQUIPMENT LINKS ABOUT US CONTACT US Washington County Fire Department is a volunteer fire suppression agency with responsibility that covers all of the unincorporated area of Washington County. The department has 16 firefighting positions, 3 wildland engines, 1 tanker/tender, 2 utility patrols, and 2 inflatable rescue boats. Our department specializes in wildland fires but responds to all types of calls including structure fires, hazardous materials, traffic accidents, search and rescue, water rescue, severe weather, just to name a few. Washington County Fire Department 3 weeks ago WCFD along with several local fire departments participated in a skills training event hosted by Ramona Fire Department this weekend. Firefighters from Oglesby, Ochelata, Ramona, Owens & Company, Collinsville, and Avant spent the day working through 6 different skills stations including Ropes, Wildland Fire, Search & Rescue, Medical, Pumping & Water supply, and Media relations. This was a great opportunity to train together and approximately 50 personnel were on hand for the event.
